The loose ring snaffle is a standard cheekpiece. The loose rings allow the bit to move freely in the horse’s mouth, which makes it highly acceptable for many horses. To prevent the skin from getting caught between the moving rings, it is recommended to use bit guards. Larger rings provide a less direct rein aid than smaller rings. They create a broader pressure distribution on the horse’s cheeks, improving steerability and reducing the chance of the bit being pulled through the mouth. Additionally, the larger rings can create a slight leverage effect.
The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made from elastic synthetic material and are highly flexible, making them exceptionally gentle in the horse’s mouth. Despite their flexibility, Flexi Soft bits are very solid due to the flexible stainless-steel core.
Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses but are especially suited to young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The Inno Sense material contains no plasticizers and is therefore completely safe for the horse. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly. The Flexi Soft version is less suitable for very strong horses.
