The gag bit encourages the horse to lift its head. It is often used for horses that tend to go behind the bit. When the reins are taken up, the mouthpiece slides upward, creating pressure in the corners of the mouth and on the poll. This bit can be used with one or two reins, or with pelham straps. In most cases it is ridden with two reins: one rein is attached to the main bit ring, while the second rein is attached to one of the lower rings or to the end of the gag straps. This allows the rider to apply the gag action only when necessary. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.
The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made from elastic synthetic material and are extremely flexible, making them very soft and gentle in the horse’s mouth. Despite their flexibility, Flexi Soft bits are highly durable thanks to a flexible stainless-steel core.
Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses, but are especially suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The Inno Sense material contains no plasticizers, making it completely safe for the horse. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly. The Flexi Soft version is less suitable for very strong horses.
