The driving bit, also known as a Liverpool bit, has two or three rein slots. This cheekpiece is specifically used for driving. With this cheekpiece, the driver can adjust the leverage from none to strong. The lower the reins are attached, the stronger the bit becomes. The cheekpiece with two rein slots therefore has a milder action than the three-slot Liverpool bit.

This mouthpiece is a bar with a medium port. The port gives the tongue more freedom, preventing pressure on the tongue and distributing it over the bars instead. This makes the bit ideal for horses with a sensitive tongue or horses that tend to stick out the tongue. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a characteristic blue colour. Sweet Iron develops surface rust when in contact with humidity, which tastes sweet and naturally stimulates saliva production in the horse. This causes the horse to foam more, improving bit acceptance. This oxidation process changes the blue colour of TRUST bits to a brownish-grey tone. The Inno Sense material contains no plasticizers and is therefore not harmful to the horse’s health.

The bits from TRUST Equestrian are authentically Dutch. All bits are designed, developed, and handmade in the Netherlands. Every day, a team of technical professionals works on production. The bits are assembled with great care and made from the finest materials, resulting in very high quality standards. For every design, the balance between shape, material, and weight is carefully considered. TRUST bits are slightly curved so they fit the horse’s mouth more naturally. Due to this anatomical shape, the bit sits more comfortably in the mouth and distributes pressure more evenly. With a wide variety of mouthpieces, cheekpieces, and materials, TRUST strives to offer a suitable bit for every horse.
