Inno Sense Mullen Eggbut Gag

The gag bit encourages the horse to lift its head. It is often used for horses that work behind the bit. When the reins are taken up, the mouthpiece slides upward, creating pressure in the corners of the mouth and in the poll. The bit can be used with one or two reins, or with pelham straps. In most cases, it is ridden with two reins: one rein attached normally to the bit and the other to one of the lower rings or the end of the gag straps. This allows the rider to use the gag action only when truly necessary. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

The Inno Sense mullen is a straight bar that curves slightly forward. This mouthpiece is made of synthetic material. It has a rigid core, which makes the mullen bar non-flexible, while still feeling soft. The Inno Sense material contains no plasticizers and is therefore not harmful to the horse’s health.
