The gag bit encourages the horse to lift its head. It is often used for horses that tend to work behind the bit. When the reins are taken up, the mouthpiece slides upward, creating pressure in the corners of the mouth and behind the poll. The bit can be used with one or two reins, or with pelham straps. In most cases, it is used with two reins: one rein is attached normally to the bit, while the second rein is attached to one of the lower rings or to the end of the gag straps. This allows the rider to apply the gag action only when it is truly needed. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.
The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made of elastic synthetic material and are highly flexible, making them very gentle in the horse’s mouth. Despite their flexibility, they are extremely solid due to the flexible stainless steel core inside.
Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses, but are especially suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The Inno Sense material contains no plasticizers and is therefore not harmful to the horse’s health. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly. The Flexi Soft version is less suitable for very strong horses.
The bits from TRUST Equestrian are authentically Dutch. All bits are designed, developed, and handmade in the Netherlands. A team of technical professionals works daily on production with great care, using only the highest-quality materials. This ensures very high standards and consistent quality. Each design considers the balance between shape, material, and weight. TRUST bits are slightly curved to better follow the shape of the horse’s mouth. Thanks to this anatomical design, the bit lies more comfortably in the mouth and distributes pressure more evenly. With a wide range of mouthpieces, cheekpieces, and materials, TRUST strives to offer a suitable bit for every horse.
